Whinlatter Forest Park - Forestry Commission
Braithwaite, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 5TW
Join the Forestry England team at Whinlatter for this event taking place as part of Cumbria’s Dark Skies Festival 2022.
Enjoy a walk through the forest as night draws in and hopefully, weather permitting, see some stars. You’ll look for well-known constellations and other features of the night sky, and you be provided star maps.
This forest walk is an excellent event for all of the family, suitable for guests six months old to over six decades! An entry fee applies.
Please note that this has already taken place on 25/02/2022
The below chart shows if and when the skies will be at their darkest during this event. Moonlight is shown in light yellow and the Sun's twilight in light blue. Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
