Everyone is invited to join the members of Blackpool & District Astronomical Society for this one of their regular monthly meetings. The event includes a talk or presentation and then observing in the cricket ground if weather permits. All meetings are friendly and informal and a warm welcome is guaranteed, particularly to beginners!

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
