Beginners Guide to the Night Sky and Rocket Making

Take a journey through the Cosmos with stargazing expert Richard Darn.
From spotting ancient constellations to finding galaxies, this is a fun, practical session to take your astro knowledge on to a new level!
You will even get the chance to handle space rocks over four billion years old!
If the sun is out we’ll even have a go at safe solar observing.
With a chance to make and launch your own rocket and 10% off a Dark Skies themed menu at the Firebox cafe, this is great for kids over 6 and adults!
Included in museum admission.
This event is part of the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Festival 2024 which occurs from the 9th of February to the 25th of February.
