Beginners Guide to the Night Sky

Join astronomer Richard Darn from Go Stargazing for an introductory tour of the night skies! Take a journey from our nearest neighbour, the Moon, to distant galaxies and learn some simple tips to get to grips with a starry night. Discover how ancient civilisations once viewed the skies full of mythical creatures. Learn how to navigate Spring-time constellations and locate the "Realm of the Galaxies". This is an ideal event suitable for all ages and levels of interest...

This event takes place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Festival 2021, an annual celebration of the wonderful dark skies above the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors International Dark Sky Reserves.
