Astrophotography for Beginners at Bore Place
Sunday 25th February 2024 from 00:00am to 00:00am
Bore Place Country House and Outdoor Education Centre
Chiddingstone, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 7AR, South East
Bore Place are delighted to welcome astrophotographer Jeremy Phillips FRAS back to Bore Place for a talk about ‘Shooting the Stars’. The evening is aimed at anyone interested in discovering how images of the night sky’s most beautiful objects can be captured or who wants to take a virtual journey through space via his photographs.
Jeremy will reveal what can be achieved with the most basic equipment – a mobile phone and an £80 telescope – showing how you can shoot the moon, capturing its craters and beautiful features, even from a light-polluted urban setting. Then, the journey heads into space to the stars of our beautiful galaxy, The Milky Way, revealing what can be achieved with a DSLR camera.
