Join the Scottish Water Ranger Service for some tips and lessons in Astrophotography! Learn about useful apps and camera settings, and take photos of the stars with your tripod and camera if you want to bring them along at night.

Meeting at James M Gale Memorial, please bring warm clothing for night-time walking and footwear suitable for the outdoors.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
