Jodrell Bank Observatory
University of Manchester, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 9DL
Visit Jodrell Bank for an informal and fun session with an introductory workshop (co-presented by Jodrell Bank Observatory’s Dr Ant Holloway) and a chance to try your equipment on-site at Jodrell Bank.
You’ll learn how to use your DSLR or Compact System Camera to get started in Astrophotography. You’ll also discover how you can use simple equipment, such as a tripod, to capture different night sky images, from planets and constellations to the colours of stars and star trails. There’ll be a chance to look at additional equipment you can use to expand the range of images you make.
No previous knowledge is required to attend this session, but you will require your camera with full manual controls.
Please note that this has already taken place on 25/01/2023
