Astronomy in the City - February 2025
Wednesday 26th February 2025 from 17:30pm to 22:00pm
University of Birmingham Physics & Astronomy Department
Poynting Physics Building, Birmingham, West Midlands, B15 2TT
Astronomy in the City is a series of (free) public events, each packed with astrophysics; stargazing, and tea and biscuits.
Evenings begin with several exhibits from the students of our research group, followed by talks covering astronomical highlights and recent research, and a question-and-answer session (for everything from beginner’s questions about the night sky to the latest work done here in Birmingham).
Each Astronomy in the City event features a talk on a different astrophysical topic connected to the research done at the University of Birmingham as well as the opportunity for observing on the rooftop with telescopes (weather permitting) and planetarium talks.
Please note that this has already taken place on 26/02/2025
