Astronomy Evening at Bore Place: Saturn
Thursday 10th October 2024 from 18:30pm to 20:00pm
Bore Place Country House and Outdoor Education Centre
Chiddingstone, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 7AR, South East
Saturn – the ringed wonder of our solar system! This year, the rings are much narrower than we normally see them, and next year they will, for a few weeks, be edge on. This only happens twice in Saturn’s 29-year orbit.
This evening talk from the Edenbridge and District Astronomers will focus on the story of Saturn, and will discuss why we might want to send a satellite back there. If the weather permits, there will be a telescope set up for observing, too.
