Astro Night at Jodrell Bank

Join us for a magical evening of dark sky observing here at Jodrell Bank.
The evening will start with a journey through space in our incredible Space Dome, learning how to navigate the skies and locate the stars and planets. You’ll be able to get hands-on with telescopes, binoculars and planispheres and will be taught how to use the different tools.
Weather permitting, you can put all you’ve learnt into practice outside to observe the night sky. Along with Jodrell Bank’s team, the Macclesfield Astronomical Society will be on hand and happy to answer any questions.
Our stunning First Light Café will be open before and during the event, serving hot drinks and tasty treats.
Please note that observing the night sky is weather permitting.
