An introduction to stargazing at Malham Tarn

Join local astronomer Martin Lunn MBE for an evening of stargazing at Malham Tarn. Discover how to find The Plough, North Star, The Andromeda Galaxy and Orion; if you are lucky, you might see a meteor or shooting star.
Please note stargazing is weather dependent, and whilst we will make every effort to be outdoors, there may be cloud cover or poor weather, and if this is the case, there will be a space presentation (The Star of Bethlehem) indoors instead.
This event is an introduction to stargazing; no prior knowledge of astronomy is needed, and it is therefore suitable for families (children aged 10+) or anyone looking to begin their astronomy journey.
