All About the Aurora (live from the Arctic Circle!)
Wednesday 28th October 2020 from 18:30pm to 19:30pm
Online event by Yorkshire Dales National Park
Join astronomer and aurora expert Matt Robinson who will be broadcasting from the Norwegian island of Senja! Matt will tell you all about the aurora, why they are also called the Northern Lights and how you might spot them from the UK -- it's possible to see them from the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors if the conditions are right! Weather permitting Matt will use highly sensitive cameras to show you a LIVE view of the aurora from his location in the arctic circle. Do not miss this!
The Zoom meeting is now fully booked however you can still participate via our public Facebook page (no Facebook account required) at the time of the event. We hope to see you there!
The event is taking place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Week which is organised jointly by the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, this with enthusiastic support from the team at Go Stargazing!
