Everyone is invited to join the Adur Astronomical Society for this one of their regular Society meetings at Southwick Community Centre. These meetings do not involve any practical astronomy (see the observing group meetings). They are lecture-based, often with external speakers covering many astronomical subjects to suit all interests.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
