Sutton Bank Star Hub
Sutton Bank National Park Centre, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 2EX
Join us for a night dominated (but not limited to!) by the moon. We will use telescopes to spy on craters and mountains on the lunar surface and show you how to take a picture of what you can see. Plus, we’ll tour the stars of winter, enjoy an interactive planetarium tour and get a chance to handle space rocks.
The Star Hub at Sutton Bank provides a warm indoor space and a perfect viewing area. The North York Moors National Park is an international dark sky reserve because of its low levels of light pollution. However, we advise you to wear sensible outdoor footwear and wrap up warm. Bring binoculars if you have them, although we will supply the telescopes!
Please note that this has already taken place on 28/01/2023
