A crescent moon with Venus in the west
Saturday 25th March 2023 from 19:30pm to 21:30pm
Sutton Bank Star Hub
Sutton Bank National Park Centre, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 2EX
Join experienced astronomer Richard Darn and experience the beautiful skies above the North York Moors Dark Sky Reserve.
A beautiful crescent moon will be visible in the west, and we may even get to spy Venus – the Earth’s twin planet – lower down in the same direction. As they get lower, the stars will begin to shine as ancient constellations move into view.
We’ll use our powerful telescopes to take you a step closer to the Cosmos and unlock its many treasures. With the observing season nearing its end, ensure you take advantage of the darker nights before the summer break.
Please note that this has already taken place on 25/03/2023
