The welcoming members of the Croydon Astronomical Society open their Norman Fisher Observatory near Kenley Aerodrome every Saturday evening from around the beginning of September through to the end of April. These open evenings are weather permitting and only go ahead if the skies are clear enough to allow observing.
Parking is nearby in Hayes Lane, just a couple of hundred metres to the south, at the Royal Air Force Kenley Tribute.
These events are free of charge, and there is no need to book. Opening time depends on sunset and is usually 8:00 pm as long as it is after dark.
