Isle of Man Astronomical Society meeting
The first Thursday of the month from June 2022 to June 2024
Isle Of Man Observatory
Higher Foxdale, Foxdale, Isle of Man, IM4 3HB
The Isle of Man Astronomical Society hosts their monthly general meeting on the first Thursday of every month at their observatory. These meetings are formal and include a 45-minute presentation and a refreshment break. If the weather permits and time allows, it may be possible to view the skies through their observatory telescope after the meeting.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experts! If you are interested in exploring the dark skies above the Isle of Man, you are welcome to attend a couple of meetings before being asked to join their group. A non-member charge of £4.00 (£2.00 for children) is payable per visit.
These sessions are a great way to meet local astronomers and learn more about their Society, observatory and stargazing activities. The Society hosts custom tours of the observatory, too, with observing using their telescopes if the skies are clear — please get in touch with them directly with all enquiries.
