Thanet Astronomy Group weekly meeting
Saturday every week from January 2025 to December 2025
West Bay Cafe
Westgate-on-Sea, Margate, Kent, CT8 8QZ
Join the friendly members of the Thanet Astronomy Group who meet at the West Bay Cafe every Saturday afternoon. These meetings are free and open to interested people of all ages.
If the weather permits, you’ll be able to look through their telescopes — it’s easier to learn how to use a telescope in daylight than in the dark! Practice pointing a telescope at targets such as ships, wind farms, birds etc. You may even be able to safely observe the Sun on sunny days (solar observation requires special filters).
These sessions offer an opportunity to learn more about their group and how you can join them and participate in their night viewing sessions.
