The Eastbourne Astronomical Society are a friendly group of amateur astronomers who meet monthly at Willingdon Memorial Hall. The group also organise frequent observing sessions and are active in outreach, often running public events at locations such as the Redoubt Fortress and on Eastbourne Parade in collaboration with the local council.

  • Eastbourne Astronomical Society meeting

    The first Saturday of the month from September 2023 to June 2024

    Willingdon Memorial Hall, Willingdon, BN20 9HT

    Join the members of the Eastbourne Astronomical Society at Willingdon Memorial Hall for their regular monthly meetings, which occur (mainly) on the first Saturday of each month from September to June.

    These sessions generally involve a presentation by highly regarded professional astronomers and astrophysicists from across the UK.

    Presentations are at a level most people can understand and rarely contain mathematics! They are suitable for beginners, and non-members are very welcome.

    Coffee and biscuits are also available for a small fee, with proceeds going to the Society.
