Solar glasses for the October 2022 partial eclipse

A partial solar eclipse will be visible from the UK on the morning of the 25th of October 2022, and Go Stargazing is giving away 2,500 pairs of solar glasses to help people see it safely!

This rare event will see the Moon pass in front of the Sun, as viewed from the United Kingdom, covering about 20% of the Sun’s disc — hence a “partial” eclipse. For more details, including exact timings, see our blog post how to see the solar eclipse on 25th of October 2022.

See the eclipse with your own eyes!

We’d love to send you five pairs of solar glasses so you can safely see the partial eclipse in the company of your friends, family, and perhaps colleagues…

We ask you to help cover the costs of importing the glasses from the USA, customs charges, envelopes, postage, labels and fees incurred processing your transaction.

Deadline

We will accept requests until the 14th of October 2022 or until we run out of glasses. If you miss out we recommend buying from an independent retailer such as First Light Optics.
